Panjabi Ecommerce Website — Gonjo Case Study

A panjabi ecommerce website case study: how Gonjo, a Bangladeshi menswear brand, got a WooCommerce store built for shoppers on phones — easy collections, clear product pages, and a Bangla WhatsApp order line.

The client

Gonjo is a Bangladeshi menswear brand selling premium panjabi collections online, with demand that peaks sharply around Eid.

Its shoppers browse on phones, compare collections, and expect to order with a few taps — or by messaging in Bangla. A store that only works one of those ways loses the other half of its buyers.

What the panjabi ecommerce website had to do

Sell panjabis across Bangladesh to shoppers on mobile data. Collections had to be easy to browse, and a product page had to answer every sizing and fabric question before the buyer asks.

The order had to be taken without friction — and customers who prefer chatting needed a Bangla WhatsApp order line that ends up in the same order flow as the checkout.

What was built

Six parts make the store work for a seasonal, mobile-first business.

Collections the way customers shop

A WooCommerce store with collection and category navigation built around how buyers actually look for a panjabi.

Search, variations, wishlist, cart

Product search, size and style variations, a wishlist, a cart, and a checkout designed for one thumb.

Seasonal banners, no developer

Collection banners such as the Eid Collection, managed by the owner without calling a developer.

Bangla WhatsApp order line

A Bangla WhatsApp ordering option alongside the standard checkout, for buyers who would rather chat.

Pages structured to rank

Product and category pages with schema and clean URLs, so each collection can be found in search.

Owner training

Hands-on training so products, prices, and offers are updated in-house.

Design decisions behind the build

Eid sets the calendar. The homepage is built around a collection banner the owner can swap in minutes, so the store can lead with the season's collection the day it lands.

Two ways to buy, one order flow. Some Bangladeshi shoppers will always prefer to message rather than fill in a checkout, so WhatsApp ordering sits next to the cart instead of replacing it.

Every product page is written to remove a question: fabric, size, and price are where a buyer expects them, which keeps the chat line for real conversations rather than basic questions.

Questions about this project

01

What platform is the Gonjo store built on?

WordPress with WooCommerce, set up so the owner manages products, prices, and collection banners in-house.

02

Why add WhatsApp ordering to a panjabi ecommerce website?

Because many shoppers in Bangladesh prefer to message before they buy. Offering a Bangla WhatsApp line next to the checkout keeps those buyers instead of losing them at the cart.

03

Can you build a seasonal store like this for my brand?

Yes. The same approach — owner-managed seasonal banners, phone-first product pages, and a checkout plus a chat option — fits any brand whose sales peak around festivals.
