The client: a home bakery in Jhikargacha

Made by Roshni bakes cakes at home in Jhikargacha and delivers them across Jashore district — from Jashore town to Navaron, Sharsha and Benapole. Each cake is made after the order comes in, so the shop sells dates and designs, not stock on a shelf.

Most of its buyers are planning a birthday, an anniversary or a wedding, and they read in Bangla. Before this site, a buyer had to message the bakery to learn a price or check whether a design was possible.

The brief was simple to say and hard to build: let people choose, price and order a cake by themselves, in their own language, and give the owner one place to run it all.

The challenge

A home bakery website is not like a store that sells stock. Four problems had to be solved together.

Prices hidden in chat

Buyers had to message and wait just to learn what a cake costs at a given size.

Every cake is different

Hundreds of designs, each in several weights, each with its own price.

Custom requests

Many orders start with a photo of a cake the buyer saw somewhere else.

Local delivery

A home bakery delivers to specific places, and buyers need to know theirs is one of them.

What the bakery website development delivered

A custom web app on Next.js, written around how a home bakery actually takes orders — dates, sizes, photos and delivery areas.

Bangla-first storefront

The whole cake shop website is written in Bangla first, with an English version at /en for buyers who prefer it.

245 cake pages

Each cake has its own page with real photos and a long Bangla description of its design, taste, sizes and care.

Prices by weight

Every cake is priced from half a pound up to three pounds, so the total is visible before ordering.

Flavour categories

Vanilla, chocolate, red velvet, ros malai, theme cakes and more, each with its own category page.

Two ways to order

On this cake order website, buyers can check out online or send the order over WhatsApp, straight from the cake page.

Custom cake form

A two-step request: reference photo, size and message first, then delivery details — the bakery calls to confirm the price.

Payments buyers use

bKash for an advance or the full amount, and cash on delivery.

Accounts and tracking

Sign in with Google or a phone number, and track an order by its number.

Delivery-area pages

A page for each of 12 areas across Jashore district, plus a hub that lists them all.

Public price list

One page lists every flavour at every weight, and notes that delivery is charged by distance.

Cake guides and blog

Guides on wedding, anniversary and chocolate cakes, a price guide, and 20 blog posts.

Owner admin panel

Orders, products, categories, customers, delivery zones, custom-cake leads, messages, reviews, blog and site settings — plus live visitors.

Inside the online cake shop

Every screen below was taken from madebyroshni.com itself in mid-October 2026, framed as a laptop and a phone. In the admin view, sales and order numbers are blurred.

Design decisions behind the cake shop website

Price on the page, not in the inbox

Putting the price for every weight on every cake page removes the most common message a bakery gets — and the wait that loses an order.

Custom orders start with a photo

People rarely describe a cake in words; they show one. The form takes the picture first and the details after.

Bangla is the default

The buyers think and search in Bangla, so the Bangla site is the main one and English is the extra.

One page per delivery area

Someone in Benapole looking for a birthday cake should land on a page about Benapole — and see at once that the bakery delivers there.

The owner runs it without a developer

From the hero image and the top-bar notice to the WhatsApp order number, the routine changes live in the admin panel's settings.

What every bakery website needs

Planning bakery website development for your own kitchen? A bakery website needs these parts before visitors start turning into orders.

Real photos of real cakes

Buyers order what they can see. Your own photos beat stock pictures every time.

Prices for every size

Show the price at each weight or serving count, so nobody has to ask.

A custom order path

Let people upload a reference picture and write the message for the cake.

Delivery areas in plain sight

List where you deliver and what it costs, before checkout.

Local payment methods

bKash and cash on delivery are what most Bangladeshi buyers expect.

A chat option

Some buyers will always prefer WhatsApp; keep it one tap away.

Order tracking

A simple status page on the online cake shop saves the owner from 'where is my cake?' calls.

An admin you can run

Adding a cake, changing a price or closing a delivery area should take minutes, not a developer.

How much does bakery website development cost?

It depends on how the cake shop website takes orders. WebDesignerBD's online stores start at ৳9,999, and that covers a standard WooCommerce store.

A custom bakery web app like Made by Roshni — a Bangla and English storefront, hundreds of cake pages priced by weight, a photo-upload order form, bKash payment and an owner admin panel — gets a written price once the cake list, payment options and admin needs are clear. More cakes, more ways to pay and more back-office tools mean more work.

Either way, the quote is fixed and written before any work starts.

Check this online cake shop yourself

The cake shop website is public. Try it from a phone, as someone planning a birthday in Jashore would.

  • 1Open any cake and switch between weights — the price changes with the size
  • 2Open the custom cake order form and see the photo upload step
  • 3Find your area on the service-area page
  • 4Read the price list page that shows every flavour at every weight
  • 5Switch to English at /en

Questions about this project

01

What is bakery website development?

It is building an online shop for a bakery: cake pages with real photos and prices, size options, an order and payment flow, delivery details, and usually a way to request a custom design. A good bakery website also lets the owner update cakes and prices without help.

02

What is the Made by Roshni website built with?

Next.js. The shop, its English mirror at /en and the owner's admin panel are all one custom application, not a template or plugin.

03

How do customers order a custom cake on this site?

Through a two-step form: they upload a reference photo, pick a size and write the cake message, then add delivery details. The bakery calls to confirm the price.

04

Which payment methods does the cake shop accept?

bKash, for an advance or the full amount, and cash on delivery.

05

Can a home bakery manage its own website?

Yes. Made by Roshni's owner manages orders, cakes, categories, delivery zones, custom-cake requests, reviews and the blog from the admin panel, and changes routine settings like the hero image there too.

06

How much does bakery website development cost?

WebDesignerBD's online stores start at ৳9,999. A custom bakery web app with an admin panel, custom orders and bKash payment gets its own written price after a short call about cakes, payments and delivery.

07

Can you build a cake shop website like this for my bakery?

Yes. Tell us what you bake, how you price it, where you deliver and how customers pay, and the price comes back in writing, fixed, before anything is built.
