In short
What does good house cleaning website design look like?
Good house cleaning website design answers three questions before a visitor has to call: what will it cost for my home, what exactly will the cleaners do, and when can they come. For BlueGuard Home Cleaning that became a bilingual Next.js site where the price builds itself from bedrooms, bathrooms and size, a public checklist shows each room task by clean type, recurring plans show their discount up front, and a six-step booking form ends with payment after the visit.

The client: BlueGuard's home-cleaning brand
BlueGuard, owned by Hayden Khullar, started out cleaning air ducts — we built that site too, see the BlueGuard duct cleaning case study at /portfolio/blueguard. Its about page says customers often asked, after a duct job, whether the crew did whole homes as well. BlueGuard Home Cleaning is the answer: a separate brand, on its own subdomain, run out of the existing Ottawa, Oshawa and Montréal offices.
A home cleaning website sells something bought differently from a one-off trade job. People want a number before they invite strangers in, they want to know which rooms get what, and the most valuable customers return on a fixed rhythm. The home cleaning website had to sell the first visit and make the repeat visits easy.
It also had to carry the parent brand's trust without becoming a copy of it. So the new site borrows the name, the mascot and the offices, and builds everything else — pricing, booking, plans, checklists — around cleaning a home.
The challenge
A maid service website lives or dies on the price question. Four things had to work together.
Every home is a different price
A two-bedroom condo and a four-bedroom house with a basement cannot share one flat number.
Unclear scope
“Deep clean” means something different to every company. Visitors need to see the task list before they pay for it.
Strangers in the house
Buyers want to know who is coming, whether they are insured, and what happens if something is missed.
Repeat business
Weekly and bi-weekly clients are the real business, so plans had to be visible and simple to start.
What the house cleaning website design delivered
A custom Next.js cleaning booking website where pricing, scope and scheduling are on the page, not in a phone call.
Itemised price calculator
Pick the clean type, bedrooms, full and half bathrooms, a finished basement and home size; the total and its parts update as you change them.
Quote box on the homepage
Like any instant quote cleaning website, it opens with a short version of the calculator sits in the first screen, next to the next free arrival window.
Six-step booking
Service, home details, extras, date and arrival window, contact details, then a review screen — with the price panel always in view.
Two-hour arrival windows
Visitors choose 8–10, 10–12, 12–2 or 2–4, so nobody waits at home all day.
Recurring plans
Weekly, bi-weekly and monthly options with their discount shown in the calculator, the pricing page and each plan page.
Room-by-room checklist
One page lists every task for bedrooms, kitchen, bathrooms and extras, switchable between standard, deep and move-out cleans.
Fixed-price add-ons
Fridge and oven interiors, a load of laundry, blinds, wall washing — every extra carries a price you see before booking.
25 service pages
Six groups — regular, deep, special occasion, specialised, health and sanitisation, exterior — with a page for each service in them.
Seasonal pages
Spring, summer, fall and winter pages, and a homepage block that recommends services for the current season.
34 city pages and a map
Each city has its own page with local detail; the hub has an interactive map with Ontario and Québec tabs and a postal-code check.
Full French site
Each English page is paired with a French one at a French address, and hreflang ties the pair together.
Policies in plain view
Separate pages for the satisfaction guarantee, cancellation and rescheduling, privacy and terms, plus a careers page for cleaners.
Inside the home cleaning website
Screens captured from homecleaning.blueguard.ca on 16 October 2026, framed as laptop and phone. For a clean view we removed the cookie notice and the floating helper button before capturing.
Design decisions behind the cleaning booking website
Show the maths, not just the total
Listing the base visit, bedrooms, bathrooms and size as separate lines lets a visitor see why the number is what it is — and trust it.
Scope is public
The checklist page shows ticks and dashes room by room, so the difference between a standard and a deep clean is something you can read, not argue about.
Payment after the visit
No card is asked for at booking. The site says so near every price, because it removes the risk of paying first for a stranger's work.
Plans are a toggle, not a sales call
Weekly, bi-weekly and monthly sit in the same switch as one-time, so seeing the recurring saving costs the visitor one tap.
A sibling, not a clone
The home-cleaning brand reuses the parent's name, mascot and offices, but has its own domain, navigation and booking — and offers a bundle with duct cleaning instead of repeating that business.
What every home cleaning website needs
Thinking about house cleaning website design for your business? Visitors become booked visits when a site has the pieces below.
A price for my home
Let visitors enter rooms and size and see a number immediately, even if it is a starting price.
A written scope
Publish what each clean type includes, room by room, so expectations match before the crew arrives.
Arrival windows
A good home cleaning website offers short time slots instead of “sometime that day”.
Recurring options up front
Show weekly and bi-weekly pricing next to one-time pricing, not hidden in a footnote.
Proof of vetting
Insurance, background checks and a re-clean promise belong near the booking button.
Add-ons with prices
Fridge, oven, laundry and windows priced individually save a lot of back-and-forth.
Local pages
A maid service website needs one genuine page per town it covers, written about that town.
Clear policies
Cancellation, lock-out and guarantee terms written in plain language, one click from any page of the house cleaning website.

How much does house cleaning website design cost?
Mostly it depends on how much booking the site handles itself. WebDesignerBD charges from ৳4,999 for a business website — enough for a typical service site that collects quote requests.
A build like BlueGuard Home Cleaning — a live calculator, a multi-step booking flow, recurring plans, a public checklist, two languages and dozens of city pages — is a custom project. Once we know your services, price rules and service area, we write down one price for it, and that is the price you pay.
Nothing starts until that written number is agreed.

Questions about this project
01What is house cleaning website design?
It means shaping a residential cleaner's site so visitors can price a clean for their own home, see what is included, choose a time and book without phoning. Strong designs also show vetting, policies and recurring options before the booking step.
02What is the BlueGuard Home Cleaning website built with?
Next.js. The pricing, booking, checklist and city pages of this house cleaning website are custom code, with English and French versions of every page.
03How does the instant price work on this site?
The visitor picks a clean type, bedrooms, bathrooms, a finished basement if any, and home size. The site shows the total and lists each part of it, and applies the recurring discount when a plan is chosen.
04How is this different from the BlueGuard duct cleaning website?
The duct cleaning site sells a one-off trade job and collects quote requests. This maid service website prices the visit on the page, books a time slot, sells repeat plans and publishes a cleaning checklist. Both sites belong to the same owner and link to each other.
05Can customers book recurring cleaning online?
Yes. On this cleaning booking website, weekly, bi-weekly and monthly plans are chosen in the calculator and the booking form, and the discount for each one is stated.
06How much does house cleaning website design cost?
A business website with WebDesignerBD begins at ৳4,999. A booking-led build with a live calculator and two languages is priced once we know your services and areas, and the price is given to you in writing.
07Can you build a cleaning booking website like this for my company?
Yes. Send us your services, how you price a home, your cities and your policies, and we will reply with a written price for the build.
